When we state that our hair is Organic, here is what we mean:

Our hair is imported directly from Chennai, India. Our suppliers purchase our Virgin Indian hair from the Auctions of the Hindu Temples of Southern India. The bulk hair is then wefted (sewn together), de-loused by hand, washed with a mild herbal shampoo, sun-dried, packaged and shipped to us. Every shippment we receive is shampooed and conditioned once more, air-dry and re-packaged. That's it!

We maintain our standard of Premium Virgin Indian hair by only purchasing from suppliers who do not utilize any toxic or harsh chemicals in their hair preparation procedures.

Virgin Hair means: No "wet extensions odor":
Beauty Supply Store Hair is usually "fallen" or scrap hair that has been mixed with animal and synthetic hair.
It is processed with a toxic acid wash which strips the "hair" of it's cuticle and allows manufacturers to quickly process the hair for a curl, wave or texture. After the cuticles are striped by the acid, the hair looks and feels very similar to dry grass. To make the hair presentable for sale, the hair is saturated with manufacturer grade silicone, to give the hair the appearance of luster, health and shine.
When Beauty Supply Store Hair is washed, the "Wet extensions odor" is the smell of the residual acid left on the hair as well as the manufacturer grade silicone. As the silicone wears off, the chemically damaged, over-processed hair is revealed and, you know what happens next.

Acid Processed hair sometimes causes contact dermatitis and scalp irritation. In some cases these chemicals can even aggravate hair loss issues because of chemical allergies, and allergies to animal and synthetic hair.
